This week I spent a couple of days in Berlin. It’s a great city so if you haven’t been already then I recommend you go because it’s interesting and so much fun. I lived there for the Summer a couple of years ago and fell in love with the laid back lifestyle which feels unusual in a big urban city. One of my favourite things about Berlin is the food. You can find everything and anything from every culture and despite the recent rise in prices it’s still cheap for a European capital. New places pop up all the time so if you are planning a trip then check out Stil In Berlin, a great blog with all the latest places.

I usually hang out in Mitte but this time I stayed in Charlottenburg. The Kurfürstendamm is located in this part of town which is like the Oxford Street of Berlin, great if you like lot’s of high street shopping. The nearby Bikini Berlin is worth seeing, you will find nice independent stores and there are other cool things to see. The Monkey Bar on top of the 25 Hours Hotel is always fun and especially beautiful when you book a table at sunset to enjoy the views over the Berlin Zoologischer Garten and the rest of the city. The club scene is huge and perfect if you like minimal house, electro or techno music. If you love an art exhibition then definitely check out Museum Island on the river Spree which is worth seeing for the grand historic architecture alone.
