THE HYALURONIC ACID SMOOTHIE

Smoothie’s are my go-to breakfast snack before I head to the gym in the morning. I can’t face eating anything too early so this is perfect as it’s light and easy to prepare. I’ve elevated this recipe to super-smoothie status by adding chia seeds and a shot of hyaluronic acid.

  • Banana
  • Peach (or whatever’s in season)
  • Avocado
  • Chia Seeds (1 tablespoon)
  • Fountain – The Glow Molecule (2 teaspoons)
  • 250 ml Almond Milk
  • A handful of ice (optional)

I like this combination because it isn’t too sweet and I sometimes swap the peach for something else. Instead of almond milk you can use cow’s milk, soya or coconut water. Fountain make a great range of supplements for the skin. I’ve tried a few varieties but I’m currently using the Glow which contains a combination of hyluronic acid and reactive glutathione. The two ingredients boost moisture levels so the skin literally glows, but only with continued use so you need to take it every day. Despite their tiny size chia seeds are among the healthiest foods on the planet. They are gluten-free and rich in omega-3 fatty acids plus fiber, protein and other vitamins.
