Every skin type needs a deeper clean from time to time…
Whether you have spot prone or dehydrated skin I’m guessing it needs some unclogging now and then. Throughout the year my skin falls under the dehydrated category. In the summer it’s less compared with Winter when it’s thirsty as hell. But regardless of which time of year it is my skin still needs some detoxing. I’ve been testing out the Tata Harper clarifying range and I’ve got the low down for you. Tata Harper is a high end line of natural skincare products. Everything is made using ingredients harvested on Tata’s farm in Vermont.
It’s about purifying and nourishing…
When treating congestion it’s important to respect the integrity of your skin. If you go in hard to tackle breakouts you run the risk of drying out your skin which can cause an over production of sebum. This creates a negative cycle of unbalanced skin. Tata Harper sent a combination of clarifying and nourishing products such as Restorative Eye Cream. This area should be treated with delicate care so I avoid using deep cleansing products around the eye area. The skin around the eye is thinner and without flesh or muscle behind it that supports the other parts of your face.
My honest thoughts on these Tata Harper products…
I have wanted to try Clarifying Cleanser for a while because I heard good reports. It’s one of those products that gives you an experience. It leaves the skin feeling incredibly fresh and I love using it in the morning as it helps to wake me up. I would say this is relatively gentle even though it gently foams. And considering I use a retinol at night I’m impressed that this doesn’t upset my skin when I use it in the morning. It contains an AHA exfoliator which is another reason I like it. This helps remove the dead skin which allows the cleanser to unclog any congested areas. Of all the products this is one I will definitely be purchasing in the future.
The best thing about Hydrating Floral Essence is the mist because it’s super fine. You can give me the best essence in the world but if it squirts me in the face I’m not into it. In no way is this product an essential item if you are using a serum but it should be a worthy contender in your routine. If you are treating any skin type, especially irritated or congested skin. Then a lightweight blanket of hydration is a good idea. This also contains a natural form of hyaluronic acid and vitamin C which acts as an antioxidant. Both are essential ingredients for healthy and hydrated skin.
There are things I like and dislike about Restorative Eye Cream. I love how moisturising it is, I rarely find an eye product that sufficiently moisturises my under eye area and this does the trick. With that in mind I can only use this under my eyes because it’s too heavy for the eye lid or under the brow bone. I get puffy eyes and this would only add to it. That being sent I find myself reaching for this which is always a good sign. I simply apply my hyaluronic acid serum to the rest of my eye area.
The Clarifying Mask took me by surprise because I love it when I thought I wouldn’t. Clarifying masks just aren’t usually my thing. In the past they have upset my skin causing it to break out or become irritated. This isn’t like that at all and I think you should give it a try no matter what your skin type. It contains salicylic and lactic acid which I love! The salicylic is great at unclogging pores whilst the lactic works in balance to also exfoliate but with moisturising factors. It’s the most wonderful opaque grass green colour and afterwards my skin feels super fresh and clean.
Last up is Clarifying Moisturiser. This is a lovely lightweight moisturiser that would be a great option for oily and blemish prone skin. It contains aloe vera to gently hydrate and soothe irritation. The ingredients list is vast and from what I can gather this gives lightweight, soothing moisture without overloading oily and congested skin. This isn’t a product I would choose as it’s not rich enough but I’m using it all the same and adding something in addition to beef it up.
I have to admit I love using these Tata Harper products. The range is pretty big and there are other products I would also like to try. The cleanser and mask are the stand out’s from everything I’m using and I would purchase them in the future for sure. I definitely love using the essence and eye cream I will just need to finish them to see if I would get them again. The mosturiser is very nice just not the best option for my skin type.
What’s not to like? This would have to be the price as these are expensive products. But there are things here to justify the premium price tags. Firstly these are the highest quality natural products produced on Tata Harper’s own farm in Vermont. To produce ethically within America, hiring local staff will hike up the production costs. The packaging is beautiful and comes in luxurious boxes which also factors into the price. I would say I’m on the side of anti expensive skincare because you don’t have to spend a bomb to have effective products. But when a product really does it for me I will pay the price and some of these are oh so worth it. So, if you prefer your products natural and can afford it then I say go for it because they are absolutely lovely.
