I’m on a fashion frenzy at the moment. I can’t stop thinking about outfits and I’m blaming it on this blog! Whilst I’m evolving my sense of style I’m still conscious of waste and the importance of investment pieces vs throw away fashion. As a blogger there can be a pressure to constantly wear something new. With that in mind I’m trying to rework individual pieces to create different looks without always buying something new – unless I decide it’s a worthy addition. Cultivating your own sense of style is a confidence booster but a passion for fashion can leave you with piles of clothes that have hardly been worn. In today’s post I’m taking this three piece outfit and explaining the place each item has in my wardrobe.

It’s been about 6 years since I went freelance and whilst it has it’s up’s and downs the overall experience has been positive. Previously I was working full time for a salon in London as a colourist. Then I set up a company with my boyfriend in Germany as we were preparing to launch our brand, Intensae nail lacquer. I combined working on the start-up with freelance jobs for a haircare brand to ensure the rent got paid each month.  View Post

Very recently it felt like I had turned a corner with street style photography. This time last year I was mostly posting lifeless looking pictures that did nothing to reflect my personality. This was really frustrating because good imagery is what I’ve been striving for from the beginning and boy it hasn’t been easy. Part of the issue was my confidence in front of the camera which I spoke about in this recent blog post. With practice I’m learning how to look more relaxed and carefree in images without resorting to a big cheesy grin. Beyond that I’m learning through trial and error how to keep things cohesive plus things to look for when location scouting and the best types of natural lighting. View Post
