skincare that makes you go ooh…
I mentioned in my 2018 skincare resolutions post that I want to go easy on the retinol and acid. Well I changed my mind. Just kidding! I’m definitely still in the mindset of taking things easy skincare wise. So through some stroke of luck a couple of Alex Carro products arrived at my door. I have tried this brand before and I like it. View Post
New skincare for men…
If you like cult skincare brands then you should check out the online store Niche Beauty. I featured a couple of brands from there recently in The Big Skincare Post. They sent me the new Perricone MD CBx for Men range which launches soon at niche-beauty.com
I’m going away next week so I wanted to show you the skincare products I will be taking with me. Kiehl’s surprised me with a wash bag with some products recently and I plan to make good use of it. Clear bags like this are great if you are traveling with hand luggage as you don’t need to bother with the clear bags they give you at the airport. I tend to take the minimum when traveling unless I’m going to the beach so no masks, exfoliators or any of that nonsense. It’s usually cleanser, moisturiser, serum, SPF, deodorant and shampoo. Last week I went to Augsburg and paid a visit to Green Glam where I spent an afternoon chatting with Nina who owns the store with her husband. If you’re a fan of natural and organic beauty or grooming then I recommend you pay a visit to the store in Germany, you’ll be pushed to find a place quite like it anywhere. Last year I wrote a post on the store so it was nice to visit in person and put together an edit of my top 5 ‘green’ products for Spring. In case you’re wondering if that’s a pool in the picture the answer is yes, well kind of. The store opens up into the most beautiful private courtyard. Like I said, you’ll be pushed to find anywhere quite like Green Glam.
My friends at Niche-Men enlightened me on the wondrous elixir that is FOUNTAIN Food Supplements. In a nut shell this is a range of beauty supplements aimed at improving the quality and appearance of our skin. There are ten varieties offering numerous benefits from anti-ageing to elevated happiness or better hair. I’m currently giving the Energy Molecule a whirl which contains Creatine, Vitamin B12 & Hyaluronic Acid. First of all I’m a fan of anything containing Hyaluronic Acid so I was instantly sold on the concept of taking this skin boosting molecule orally. Hyaluronic Acid is a natural structural component of the skin and is known for it’s ability to retain moisture. I can never have enough energy and I appreciate the extra boost. For the last week I have been taking a teaspoon daily, either on it’s own or mixed with a juice or smoothie. The team at Deciem were kind enough to send me a bottle of the Green Molecule which I will feature in more detail later on. You can discover Fountain for yourself at Niche-Men.
