“It’s up to us to make personal changes to protect our planet and not rely solely on the governments.”
I have an uneasy feeling whenever I throw food packaging in the bin. Yes, it’s a recycling bin but the amount of plastic I throw away just doesn’t feel right. The world seems chaotic. With the natural disasters, political mayhem and general intolerance to each other. I feel like we’re facing difficult times and the universe is giving us a taste of our own medicine. For years I’ve heard environmentalists warning the governments about the effects of climate change. I don’t know about you but I’m not waiting for anyone. There’s power in numbers and we are the one’s to make the changes by the decisions we make.
Kronaby have launched a new collection of connected watches and they let me choose one as a gift. I first featured Kronaby in this post and I really like the brand because it’s different.
Being you sounds so much better, but it’s hard…
Writing an e mail or jotting down the weekly shopping list. No problem! But writing something meaningful can be an absolute nightmare. It’s easy to go all formal when writing about something which can end up sounding really boring. In my earlier blog posts I used the word thus here and there. I mean, thus?! I would never use that word in an actual conversation. There’s a balance to writing content that’s easy to read without sounding like siri. I’ve been practicing and I found a couple of tips that really helped me out.
I must stop wine-ing…
Last night I made a mushroom bourguignon, which according to Jamie Oliver’s recipe, requires half a bottle of red wine. I love a bit of vin rouge on a cold dark night so I happily sloshed that wine into the pan. I served the bourguignon with mashed potato and the whole thing tasted great. This morning I woke up with a hangover though so perhaps I should have left it until tonight! And before you ask I didn’t drink the other half bottle to myself ; )
