Elevated sportswear has become a wardrobe staple. I often mix different pieces when I’m looking to create an overall look that’s easy yet stylish. I’ve paired this cotton knit sweatshirt with some slim fit jeans and a converse – my trusty knitted cap always keeps me warm enough. Perfect attire for hanging out with friends or going somewhere casual for weekend drinks.
This post is in collaboration with Only & Son’s Germany where you can find this knitted sweatshirt.
Whether it’s been a weekend of partying or you’re just not in the mood to face Monday I’ve put together a list of products to help you along the way. Radiant Glow Mask by Evolve is a product that’s so natural we could make it in the kitchen ourselves, but even though we can it doesn’t mean we ever will. The combination of raw cacao and coconut smells as delicious as it sounds and I need to stop myself from eating a little bit each time I use it. When the alarm goes off on Monday morning I suggest you wash your face then apply a scoop of this to towel dried skin. Leave it on whilst you grab a cup of coffee and then rinse it off in the shower. Whenever I use this my skin is super hydrated and glowing which makes me feel and look heaps better. Prepare a healthy breakfast and then apply a thin coat of INTENSAE HART Base Coat followed by MATT-1027 Fast Drying Matte Effect Top Coat. This will leave your nails looking cleaner and fresher than you could ever have imagined. After breakfast I pop a couple of Sönd Energising Mineral Supplements which provide skin boosting silica plus vitamin E and magnesium. Before leaving the house write a to-do list or set yourself some reasonable goals for the day. Work through them one by one, this will leave you feeling great knowing that you have organised yourself efficiently. A smart watch like this one from BERING will ensure you arrive on time. Lastly, a stylish pair of shades are always a good idea.
I love hyaluronic acid, it sounds like an expensive synthetic ingredient when in fact it occurs naturally in our own bodies. Serums are great due to the low molecular weight which allows the skin boosting actives to absorb deeper – where they are needed most. DECIEM the company behind some of my favourite brands including FOUNTAIN have created NIOD Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Complex.* A serum containing 12 different hyaluronic compounds which target different layers of the skin. This product is unbelievably light, I find 6 drops sufficient to cover my entire face. It absorbs almost immediately leaving my skin super smooth and soft. With continued use (about 10 days) my skin is feeling hydrated from the inside out. I’ve got a few different products on the go but I’m managing to use this twice daily with either a moisturiser or a face oil on top. I’ve heard great reports from others, one friend called it “a face lift in a bottle”, which is a bit much if you ask me – it’s good but not that good. A little goes a long way, so the 30€ price tag is incredible value for money considering the pay off it provides.
This is another crazy week, the bathroom is being renovated so I’m living in a state of dust and mess. It’s coming along nicely though, the wall tiles are done and once the marble arrives we can finish the floor and add the sink, toilet and lighting. The marble comment sounds a bit pretentious but with just 5 square meters of floor space we decided to go for it and then use basic white square tiles on the walls. It’s looking really good, I can’t wait to see it all finished. The weather on Monday was perfection, a little cold and super sunny. I decided to take a walk in the forest with the camera and take some shots. It was beautiful with the golden leaves and blue green pine trees. Today it’s gloomy and misty so I’m pleased I made the most of yesterdays sunlight. I was in Munich last week and picked up a copy of my favorite magazine – Fantastic Man. The interviews are really interesting and they offer some really cool fashion and lifestyle tips. In this issue they show you how to create a tight turn-up on trousers so they hug the ankle perfectly. I’ve already tried it on a loose pair of chino’s and it works! If I wear a looser style of trousers I still like it to be slim at the ankle so this technique is perfect. I have loads of apples at home and I got a huge bunch of kale at the market for 1€ so I made a kale and apple soup with walnuts (except I used sunflower seeds instead). The recipe came from BBC Good Food. It tasted interesting so I’m not sure if I will make it again but it was super healthy which is a good thing. Lastly, Green Glam in Augsburg sent me an amazing selection of products which I will tell you all about in my next post!
