‘Half a million tonnes of plastic microfibres are released per year from washed clothes – 16 times more than plastic microbeads from cosmetics – contributing to ocean pollution.’ – Dame Ellen MacArthur
Fashion is one of the many things that contribute to climate change. As a fashion and lifestyle blogger I feel it’s my duty to learn about the effects fashion has on our planet. Thanks to a recent interview with Stella McCartney I learned that microfibres from synthetic materials are polluting our seas.

IT’S TIME TO WRAP UP…..
Coat season has arrived and I couldn’t be happier. I’m currently into anything long because it allows a real style statement whilst keeping the toosh nice and warm. I went a bit 80’s with this look by adding the vintage style sunglasses and tapered jeans. It’s a bit different for me and I kinda like the change. View Post
I say this every year but ‘I can’t believe it’s Christmas time already‘.
The preparations are my favourite part of the holidays. There are so many nice things happening and everything looks so pretty and cozy. It’s time to get a tree and start planning the dinner. Turkey, goose or duck, who can decide? Every year I have a list of rituals. There’s mince pies, champagne, brussel sprouts, a selection of movies that gets longer every year. Because it wouldn’t be Christmas without watching the snowman and shedding a tear when he melts at the end. This time I’ve added a festive jumper to the mix. Not any old jumper I might add. It’s an ‘iconic Ralph Lauren jumper’ that’ll last for years to come – and I’m struggling to cope with how cute it is.
It’s about planting seeds for a long career…
Blogging is a hot topic. People ask me questions all the time, mainly about how to earn money.
It’s one thing to get some followers on instagram. But if you want to make a career from this (and one with longevity) then it’s useful to make a plan. The bloggers who are big now started 5-10 years ago when things were much easier. Now the rules have changed and it’s harder than ever to cut through the noise and get noticed. I have a personal list of blogging do’s and don’ts – and it’s the don’ts that are most important.
