“It’s up to us to make personal changes to protect our planet and not rely solely on the governments.”
I have an uneasy feeling whenever I throw food packaging in the bin. Yes, it’s a recycling bin but the amount of plastic I throw away just doesn’t feel right. The world seems chaotic. With the natural disasters, political mayhem and general intolerance to each other. I feel like we’re facing difficult times and the universe is giving us a taste of our own medicine. For years I’ve heard environmentalists warning the governments about the effects of climate change. I don’t know about you but I’m not waiting for anyone. There’s power in numbers and we are the one’s to make the changes by the decisions we make.
Autumn has officially kicked off so on Sunday I decided to get the camera and go for a walk in my area to capture the beautiful leaves before they fall down. Not relishing the thought of a long cold winter I reluctantly waved goodbye to Summer last week. Now that the trees are turning colour and it’s cold but not yet freezing I’m warming up, like I always do, to a cozy autumn period. View Post
I’m going away next week so I wanted to show you the skincare products I will be taking with me. Kiehl’s surprised me with a wash bag with some products recently and I plan to make good use of it. Clear bags like this are great if you are traveling with hand luggage as you don’t need to bother with the clear bags they give you at the airport. I tend to take the minimum when traveling unless I’m going to the beach so no masks, exfoliators or any of that nonsense. It’s usually cleanser, moisturiser, serum, SPF, deodorant and shampoo. There are those moments in life when I feel so satisfied. I wish the feeling could go on and, on and….. Apparently life needs it’s ups and its downs because if there weren’t the downs we wouldn’t enjoy the ups quite so much. This whole situation got me thinking about things that trigger the happiness alarm in my brain. Yes, I could list exotic holidays and shopping sprees but that wouldn’t be particularly useful now would it. So I’m going to list the simplest things that leave me feeling somewhat content, happy and satisfied. View Post
This is a super easy Thai curry recipe that we like to prepare at home whenever the weather is a bit cold or miserable and we need some cheering (or warming) up. Sorry that it’s just the one image in this post. Christian prepared this tasty looking dish during the week and as an after thought I decided to take a quick photo so I could share his recipe with you. Thanks to curry paste everyone can prepare an impressive tasting dish that’s full of exotic flavours. We pick up ours from the local Asian supermarket here in Germany but I used to buy the same ones in England also. For this mild dish we used a yellow Thai curry paste with chicken, sweet potato and chickpeas. View Post
