skincare gifts for christmas

Products to make you go ho-ho-ho

This week I arrived in Germany after a hectic 10 days working in London (I’ll get into that soon). And despite having a rotten cold I’m ready to get my Christmas hat on and start with the festive preparations. I’ve put together some nice new products that work perfectly at this time of year. They look great and most importantly they smell great because who doesn’t want an extra shoosh at this time of year. So, whether you’re looking for gift ideas or something for yourself then fear not because I’ve got your back.

le labo skincare and haircare

Slather this on if you wanna be a bit extra

Le Labo is a gorgeous brand that you probably know for their fragrance and scented candles. Well they have only gone and added skincare and hair care to the list and as you might expect everything smells amazing. Regular readers will know I’m not a fan of fragrance in my skincare. BUT this stuff is pretty special and whilst I would never recommend a heavily fragranced face cream for daily use this stuff is perfect once in a while when you want to be a bit extra. The styling concrete may have become my favourite hair styler. Which is saying something as I’m usually too lazy to put product in my hair.

Bjork and berries review

Some skandi candy for your bathroom…

I mean, how cute is BJÖRK & BERRIES?! This is a lovely eco brand from Sweden and I have the botanist hand wash which smells really good. The green bottle feels a bit festive and the range includes skincare and perfume.

yuli ambrosia review

Natural skincare has upped the ante…

Natural skincare brand Yüli just launched a new serum called Ambrosia and it’s very different from what I’m used to. Unlike most natural or organic ‘serums’ this one isn’t a glorified face oil. It has a lightweight, water-like texture that quickly disappears into the skin. It’s up there with Tata Harper in terms of price but if you’re devoted to natural skincare then you will probably love this.

Yes, cannabis for skin is in…

I mentioned in this recent review that CBx for men by Perricone MD smells like the Hotel Costes candle. Which is amazing btw. I’ve had some time to get used to the range and I still feel the lightweight moisturiser is the best of the bunch.

I will pass this onto my son Haydn. He’s opening His own male grooming salon next year and is wanting to make his own products but for the first couple of years to get it off the ground he’s going to have to use some one elses products. This maybe helpful for him.

I have yet to try out the face cream from Le Labo! I do LOVE their shampoo/ conditioner though! I used them today for the first time and my hair smelled of hinoki wood. I was obsessed.
