My go-to wardrobe staples must be versatile and comfortable. These Drape shoes from Farah Menswear are comfortable enough to wear on a wander through the forest yet smart enough for an evening out. Same goes with these denim trousers from DML Jeans. I like this style as they aren’t too skinny in the leg yet come in slim at the ankle. They also offer short, regular and long options for the legs. So, if you prefer a style that’s shorter in the leg then this is the brand for you.

The Fall is in full swing and with the newly golden leaves I also welcome some new additions to my life. Farah Menswear recently sent me a pair of their Drape shoes which suit my style perfectly and I can’t wait to wear them. I have some cool skincare pieces from a new brand in Barcelona called Alex Carro. NIOD are always on the pulse when it comes to forward thinking skincare and no doubt their Favanone Mud will make no exception. My favourite eyewear brand sorted me out with these cool shades from their limited edition B-Zero collection. ACE!

Everything will be featured separately and in more detail very soon. Enjoy the rest of your week and come back on Friday when I will be uploading another post.

In August I received this suede flying jacket and it’s finally the right time to wear it. The brand behind the jacket is Aero Leather which is based in Scotland. I’m really into the oversized shape that fits snug at the waist, wrists and collar. It’s one of those investment pieces that will get better with age. I think it’s casual yet it makes an effortless statement. I’m also wearing Willems Eyewear shades, a vintage Hermes belt and a battered and old pair of Levi’s with a basic t-shirt and baseball cap.

When I’m feeling out of sorts there is nothing like an exceptional scented candle to get me in the zone. With the transition from Summer to Autumn it’s time to wrap up warm prepare some comforting food and get cozy. A scented candle is mandatory to complete the cozy situation. I’m currently burning Darkwood by MAD et LEN which is the perfect scent for this time of year. It’s a slightly rich and aromatic scent which transports me to a stately home tucked away somewhere in the countryside. Notes of leather and smokey wood create a comforting atmosphere without being overtly heavy.

MAD et LEN is from France and the incredible packaging instantly elevates the brand to pure luxury. Each hand poured candle is housed in a hammered iron case with a black fumé finish. The fragrance is created using aged essential oils from Grasse that are stabilised in vegetable wax. There are a variety of fragrances to choose from and I’m already thinking about adding something else to my collection. Lighting one of these after a hectic day at work transports me to that zone, and then shortly after, all the stress is forgotten.

Last week was so cold I needed to remind myself it’s still summer. On a positive note I got to wear one of my favorite leather jacket’s. It’s from a New York based denim brand called PRPS that I picked it up from Harvey Nichols in London. It’s not a new item but it came looking perfectly worn in, just how this kind of jacket should be. The leather is nice and thick so I imagine this will last a very long time. This is perfect as this style always looks good and I doubt it will ever go out of style.
