Ameliorate Skin Smoothing Shower Cream that targets Keratosis Pilaris.
Keratosis Pilaris is a skin condition usually found on the backs of the arms. It looks like small red bumps, often called chicken skin. Ameliorate is one of the only ranges to cater to this skin condition. The shower cream contains a mild lactic acid. This works by gently exfoliating the skin. Lactic acid is a good option for dry skin which makes sense. In addition they added tarflower & camelina, both rich in omega’s 3, 6 & 9. I expect these plant extracts with nourish and moisurise the skin.
The shower ‘cream’ as they call it is rich with a creamy, pearlised colour. It contains SLS which isn’t the gentlest surfactant. But it will give you that generous foam you come to expect from a shower gel. Whilst I don’t have Keratosis Pilaris I have noticed an overall smoothing of the skin. If your skin is on the dry side I would recommend trying a moisuriser from the same range. Overall I like this product for it’s richness and luxe factor. It’s comforting shower treat that’s particularly good in the winter. Bonus points come for it being paraben free and without animal testing.
